SUMMARY:Charity Golf Tournamnet
DESCRIPTION:Charity Golf Tournament \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Dania Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Charity Golf Tournament in Partnership with the Dania Beach Woman's Club benefiting Project Alive on Saturday October 13\, 2018 at Orangebrook Golf and Country Club in Hollywood\, FL. \n\n\n\nThe Dania Beach Chamber of Commerce serves to represent the Dania Beach business community\; promote new and existing enterprises\; and to identify the greater community's features which enhance the quality of its residential and commercial life. However\, without fund raising efforts such as our annual golf tournament\, we would not be able to accomplish these goals.\n\n\n\nDania Beach Chamber of Commerce's golf tournament has been a well awaited annual event featuring breakfast\, lunch\, awards\, raffles\, silent auction and much more. This year a portion of all funds raised will benefit Project Alive We Believe a Cure Is Within Reach! https://projectalive.org/\n\n\n\nHunter Syndrome (MPS II) is a rare genetic disease that affects less than 500 boys in the United States. These boys are missing an enzyme used to break down cellular waste. When that waste builds up\, it leads to progressive damage throughout their little bodies. Some never develop speech\, but some boys learn like a typical child then begin losing skills and what they've learned at a young age. They eventually lose the ability to walk\, talk and eat. Most do not live to see their teen years.\n\n\n\nGene therapy\, a revolutionary new approach to treating genetic diseases\, may provide the cure these boys desperately need. Researchers are in the final stages of developing the first gene therapy clinical trial for boys with Hunter Syndrome. The only obstacle is the substantial funding required for such a trial. Project Alive aims to fund the trials and bring us one step closer to a cure.\n\n \nWe cannot do it without you! Thank you for your support.\n\n\n\nIf you have any questions or are interested in learning about sponsorship opportunities\, please contact Randie Shane\, Dania Beach Chamber's Executive Director at 954.926.2323.\n\n\n\nOn behalf of the Greater Dania Beach Chamber of Commerce\, The Dania Beach Woman's Club and Project Alive\, thank you for your consideration.
