"Recent exhibitions of da Vinci's work have caused an international groundswell of interest in Leonardo's sculptural works."\n\n \n\n Da Vinci's "Horse and Rider" was originally inherited by Leonardo's star pupil\, Francesco Metzi. The sculpture languished in a Swiss vault until 1985 when it was inspected by the greatest Leonardo da Vinci expert in the world\, Professor Carlo Pedretti\, best known as the Armand Hammer Director of Leonardo Studies at the University of California in Los Angeles.
